St. Patrick’s Day Chaos in Hammonton: A Night at Snouts and Stouts Brewing (Mocktails, Dogs, and Pizza)
St. Patrick’s Day celebrations in South Jersey seem to start on March 1st and never really end. This year, we headed to Hammonton with friends to experience the chaos of the St. Patrick’s Day bar crawl colliding with Restaurant Week.
Silly us, we thought we could just walk into a restaurant.
Everywhere was booked. Everywhere was packed. Everywhere was loud.
After lots of wandering, debating, and accepting defeat, we stumbled into Snouts and Stouts Brewing; a brewery that promises a unique experience.
They weren’t kidding.
A Dog-Friendly Brewery… Emphasis on the Dogs
The place was lively the moment we walked in. Humans were hooting and hollering, and dogs were barking.
Yes, this brewery is proudly dog-friendly. Our furry friends are more than welcome here, which means you’ll be sharing your night out with pups of all shapes and sizes.
Who wouldn’t love the smell of a million dogs while sipping handcrafted beverages?
But once you get past the initial sensory overload, the place is genuinely fun. The theme is fully committed to the dog vibe:
Dog photos cover the walls
Decorations lean heavily into the canine theme
Even the bathroom sign is shaped like a giant bone
The dedication is honestly impressive.
The Real Reason We Came: Mocktails
The best part of this cozy brewery?
Mocktails.
Snouts and Stouts specializes in seltzers, and their mocktails are built around flavored seltzer options. Naturally, I had to try the mocktail seltzer flight, which included:
Sugar-free strawberry
Sugar-free raspberry
Pineapple
Coconut
The flight arrived quickly, served on a dish shaped like a paw. Again, top-tier commitment to the theme.
The presentation? Adorable.
The flavors? A bit underwhelming.
Mocktail Seltzer Flight Review
Sugar-Free Strawberry
The clear winner. It tasted like a classic strawberry soda with a satisfying flavor.
Sugar-Free Raspberry
Nice, but very faint. You had to search for the flavor.
Pineapple
The flavor was lacking. A pineapple may have looked at the glass, but it definitely didn’t jump in.
Coconut
I love coconut, but this one was subtle to the point of disappearing.
The flight may have left more to be desired, but it was still a fun concept, and honestly, a great way to feel part of the party.
The Surprise Star: The Creamsicle Mocktail
Luckily, there were other mocktail options to try.
I ordered the Creamsicle Mocktail, and an orange dirty soda showed up in no time.
WINNER!!
This drink absolutely delivered. It tasted just like the orange popsicles I begged my parents to buy every summer at the local grocery store. Sweet, creamy, nostalgic, and everything you want in a fun mocktail.
If you visit, this is the one to order.
Bring Your Own Food (And We Did)
One important thing to know:
The brewery does not serve food, but you are welcome to bring your own.
That opened up plenty of options. There’s a Mexican restaurant next door and several food spots nearby. After a very serious round of rock, paper, scissors, we landed on pizza from Bruni's Pizza, a local favorite that’s been serving the community since 1956.
After years of hearing about this famous, award-winning pizza, I was finally going to try it.
The Pizza Review: Nostalgic, But Not Legendary
It was good, but not life-changing.
The sauce had a nice flavor, and the overall taste was enjoyable. The cheese wasn’t fully melted, which was a little disappointing, but the pizza had a familiar, comforting vibe.
Honestly, it reminded me of those “heat-and-eat” grocery store pizzas from childhood.
A little nostalgic.
Pretty good.
Just not the best pizza I’ve ever had.
I totally still had like 4 slices.
Final Thoughts: Know What You’re Walking Into
As the night went on, the crowd kept growing. People rotated in and out, the energy stayed high, and eventually the puppies cleared out as the evening got later.
If you’re looking for:
A quiet dinner
A relaxing conversation
A low-key night out
This is not your spot.
But if you’re looking for:
A lively atmosphere
Creative mocktails
A dog-friendly brewery
A fun, chaotic night in Hammonton
Then this place delivers exactly that.
Until next time,
