A Busy South Jersey Week: Zaytouna, Electric Donuts, & a 10/10 Lunch at LaScala’s

Image
There are just some weeks when you absolutely cannot catch your breath. Between the Wildwood Boardwalk, the Philadelphia Eagles Public Practice, and bouncing all over South Jersey, I traveled a LOT this week, and somehow managed to find some pretty cool gems along the way. And, of course, I found a fantastic mocktail, too. Because priorities. 😉 A New Favorite in Northfield: Zaytouna First, I have to give a shoutout to somewhere new, or at least somewhere that has quickly become a favorite. I have already gone back to Zaytouna in Northfield, New Jersey for lunch more times than I probably should admit. Zaytouna is a Mediterranean market with some seriously delicious lunch options, including shawarma that is apparently so good that I completely forgot to take pictures. Yep. I ate first and remembered the blog second. Honestly, sometimes you just have to have your priorities straight.  They also have three different flavors of baklava, and each one is flaky, sweet, and delicious. Hav...

Birthday Week, Mocktails & Two Very Different Dining Adventures

Image
Boy, have I been BUSY this month! We’re officially gearing up for Joe’s birthday, which means the birthday celebrations are in full swing. And honestly? Birthday week is already off to a pretty fantastic start. We spent the weekend in Lewes, Delaware , with my aunt, and had an absolute blast. We toured a lighthouse, walked along the beach, ate some seriously amazing ice cream from Hopkins Creamery, and, most importantly, we found MOCKTAILSSSS! 🙌 Because obviously, no Sober Party Girl adventure is complete without tracking down the local mocktail situation. Breakfast & Mocktails at Egg in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware 🥚🍹 One of our stops was Egg in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, which offered a surprisingly lovely mocktail menu. And yes, the restaurant is actually called Egg. Hilarious. Delicious. Very egg-cellent. 🥚😂 ba-dum-tsk! We ate our food so quickly that I completely forgot to take pictures. But honestly, you know the food was good when my only thought was “eat first, think...

Thrifting, Mocktails, and Summer Vibes at the Jersey Shore

Image
I can feel it… summer at the Jersey Shore is officially creeping in. The pollen is attacking, my car has probably gone through its 100th wash already, and suddenly every errand feels like a race against beach season. But somewhere between vacuuming out the car and mentally planning my first full beach day, I stumbled into what might just be my new favorite South Jersey hidden gem. If you love vintage finds, furniture treasures, and the thrill of uncovering something amazing, you need to check out The Red Door Thrift Store in Linwood NJ, part of the Cancer Support Community (formerly Gilda’s Club). The Best Thrift Store Find Yet The moment I walked into The Red Door Thrift Store, I knew I was in trouble. Ihe good kind of trouble. Every corner was packed with beautiful furniture, vintage décor, old writing desks, dining room sets, and enough quirky knickknacks to keep me wandering for hours. I wanted to buy half the store and photograph the other half. Then I spotted the couch. My...
