Mocktails at the Marina 🌊🍹 Mocktails, Trivia, and Seaside Vibes at Seaview Bar & Grille!

Sometimes a slow week is exactly what you need, especially when your calendar’s been jam-packed! But no matter how calm the week gets, there’s always time for mocktails.

We love checking out local spots with live music, trivia, bingo, and all the fun stuff. This time, we struck gold! The Seaview Bar and Grille, tucked along the marina on the way to Longport, was hosting its very first trivia night.

The restaurant is part of a gorgeous marina filled with sleek boats and coastal charm. It’s relaxed but still has that “shore sophistication.” From what I read, it opened in August after LaBarca Oyster & Crudo closed earlier this summer so, naturally, I had to see what this new place was all about.

First Impressions 🚀

We parked in a lot filled with crushed shells (fitting for a shore town) in the non-permit parking, but hey, boat owners deserve their VIP spots. The short walk to the entrance gave us a great view of the outdoor landscape, and once inside, we were greeted right away.

When we mentioned we were there for trivia, the hostess suggested we sit at the bar, perfect! The bartenders were upbeat, friendly, and clearly loved what they were doing. Then came the moment that made my night: they had a mocktail menu! πŸ™Œ

The Mocktail Moment 🍊🌺

Their menu listed four mocktails and I instantly recognized the names. Turns out, they were using Mingle Mocktail canned beverages. I’ve had these before (the SNJ Sober Party Girl remembered these from our review of The Windjammer), and while I wish restaurants would get a little more creative, I’ll always appreciate any mocktail option.

I ordered the Blood Orange Elderflower Mimosa, and my husband went with the Blackberry Hibiscus Bellini! The bartender even poured them into wine glasses filled with ice, which made the whole experience feel elevated and intentional. A small gesture that made a big difference. Just as we reviewed before, the mocktails were gooooood! The Blackberry Hibiscus Bellini is the one we had before. It is a nice bitter sweet beverage with a smooth finish. The Blood Orange Elderflower was refreshing, bubbly, and a burst of vitamin C. It was surprisingly bitter, but still delicious.

Dinner & Trivia 🍽️🧠

Just as trivia kicked off, our food started arriving, and let me tell you, we were off to a strong start.

Appetizer: Maryland Crab Bites: five mini broiled crab cakes (not fried!) that were all crab, no filler moosh, and absolutely delicious. They disappeared so fast I forgot to take a picture.

EntrΓ©es:

  • Me: Chicken Supreme: a fried chicken cutlet topped with eggplant, roasted red peppers, mozzarella, and marsala sauce over mashed potatoes. Not my favorite (I’m not big on fried food), but the marsala sauce was tasty and the potatoes were creamy comfort. I wish the menu would have specified this was a thin fried chicken cutlet, but I still enjoyed it.

  • Husband: Drunken Gnocchi: fluffy gnocchi in a rich vodka sauce topped with creamy burrata and fresh pesto. It was so good we asked for bread just to scoop up the extra sauce. He graciously shared… after I promised to buy dessert.

Dessert: Rice Pudding:  a big, cozy bowl dusted with cinnamon. Creamy, sweet, and exactly what a shore night calls for.

Prices were on par with other shore restaurants — not cheap, but fair for the quality and location.

Trivia Treasures & Takeaways 🎲

We didn’t win trivia, but the bartender made sure we didn’t leave empty-handed. I walked away with a Jim Beam basketball jersey, and Joe scored a beanie. A pretty good consolation prize if you ask me!

It was a fun night by the water with great food, good vibes, and some solid mocktail options.

Final Sober Party Girl Score: 6/10

Next up: haunted happenings, charity walks, and (of course) more parties. Stay tuned!

Until next time,
